The final performance of our remarkable 80th season features the legendary Shanghai Quartet. Over the past 40 years, the Shanghai Quartet has become one of the world’s foremost chamber ensembles. The Shanghai’s elegant style, impressive technique, and emotional breadth allows the group to move seamlessly between masterpieces of Western music, traditional Chinese folk music, and cutting-edge contemporary works.

The Dallas Chamber Music Society, established in 1945 as the Elmer Scott Concert Series, was incorporated ten years later by Dorothea and Bartram Kelley as The Dallas Chamber Music Society. The Society has presented the world’s most respected chamber ensembles since its origin and continues this legacy of excellence today.
