Cultivating a new generation of chamber music appreciators
The Dallas Chamber Music Society has a proud history of educational outreach in Dallas and throughout North Texas. Students receive free tickets to our concerts, and our visiting ensembles regularly give masterclasses at Southern Methodist University, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts, and other schools and universities.

RESIDENCY
In conjunction with the featured performance series of the Dallas Chamber Music Society, the Next Gen Artist Residency is an annual world-class professional residency for emerging ensembles, helping to present and promote the next generation of great chamber groups .
In addition to a performance with DCMS, this residency incorporates educational workshops, formal masterclasses, open discussions and interactive performances in local schools and universities. Furthermore, the visiting ensemble will serve as artistic and professional mentors to participating student ensembles in the Community Engagement & Mentorship Program.

COMMUNITY ARTIST &
MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Designed to enrich the DFW community, this initiative brings chamber music to local schools, community centers, outreach programs, retirement communities, hospitals and residential treatment facilities. This program highlights the notably intimate nature of chamber music, allowing for a more genuine connection and helping to cultivate a new culture of arts appreciation.
Led by the Community Artists in Residence and Mentors in Residence, this project helps to coach the next generation of artists to be active participants in the local community. These members will advise and instruct participating student ensembles on artistic performance, presentation techniques, relevant career skills and instructional resourcefulness.

House Concerts
Returning to the roots of the chamber music medium, these house concerts fall in tandem with our main performance series. Moreover, these events embrace the “societal” traditions of our organization - warm conversation, discovery and meaningful artistic experiences.
