OUR MISSION
To make North Texas an international center for chamber music through superb performances, creative programming, and community engagement.
The Dallas Chamber Music Society (DCMS) was founded by Dorothea & Bartram Kelly in 1945 with a mission to cultivate a diverse, sustainable audience for great chamber music. Bringing the world’s most esteemed chamber music ensembles to the city of Dallas, the DCMS continues the tradition of making North Texas an international center for chamber music.

At the Dallas Chamber Music Society, we believe the principles of chamber music—collaboration, communication, and collective expression—reflect the power of diversity.
Just as musicians collaborate to create a unified sound, diverse perspectives enrich the artistic experience. Our programming celebrates this by showcasing composers and performers from varied backgrounds, creating a more inclusive and dynamic musical environment. Through this, we aim to unite audiences and foster deeper connection through the shared language of music.
